Overview
PRI is hiring a Marine Conservation Coordinator
Functions:
• Coordinate research activities in the Park in alignment with the Park’s Research and Monitoring Framework;
• Assist with development of strategies for marine protection and Handle requests for data on the Park’s ecosystems and species;
• Coordinate the Park’s response to proposed commercial activities (e.g. mining, additional boat traffic) near the Park, which may negatively affect upon the marine fauna and habitats within the park;
• Participate in weekly meetings and provide monthly activity reports.
Requirements:
• MSc or PhD degree in Marine Biology or Related field;
• At least 5 years’ experience in marine science and conservation;
• Demonstrable experience in survey techniques, data collection systems and database management;
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
