Our client a well-established and reputable organization is looking to recruit a Group Finance Analyst to join their firm. This candidate will be responsible for interpreting complex data, creating, compiling, and analysing reports with concise and accurate visualisation. The ideal candidates will have extensive involvement in group budgeting, performance tracking and reporting to stakeholders.

 

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Supporting the creation and distribution of cross-business performance metrics and analytics.
  • Conducting advanced analytics of large business-performance data sets to create and ensure the timeous delivery of accurate, dynamic and relevant reports
  • Identifying, illustrating and highlighting key performance indicators and business trends and communicating these to stakeholders
  • Supporting all business departments with routine and ad hoc data requests and analysis in support of strategy work and business planning.
  • Assisting in the development and analysis of complex project-driven data models and budgets to support strategic business decisions
  • Reconciliations and error-checking on financial and analytical reports to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Work with the Group Business Analyst and Business Intelligence Analyst in the mapping, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of financial reporting processes

 

Requirements :

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, business analysis, business administration, finance or related field
  • Two or more years of Business Analyst or related experience
  • Good understanding of financials, financial reporting systems, and business performance metrics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in PowerPoint, Word
  • Expertise in Excel
  • Knowledge and, ideally, experience with SQL and Power BI (and any other data management and visualisation tools)
  • Good strategic thinking. Ability to determine financial and business performance metrics needed to inform development of strategies and decision-making
  • Able to gather, sort and manipulate large data sets to create meaningful reports, models and insights to develop recommended actions
  • Well organized and good project management skills
  • Results oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and processes
  • Ability to multi-task and execute quality work under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a highly collaborative working style
