Our client in Harare is looking for a data-driven and analytical IT Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the FMCG Industry.
This role is highly analytical and detail-oriented. It involves overseeing the organization and maintenance of the company’s data. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for managing large sets of data, ensuring its accuracy, maintaining its integrity, and utilizing the data to develop insights and
recommendations to inform business strategy. Additionally it involves overseeing IT personnel and daily operations within the IT department.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Manage large sets of data and ensure its accuracy and integrity across multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain data management processes to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Analyse data and provide insights to inform business decisions and strategy.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to identify key data needs and requirements.
- Create detailed reports, data visualizations, and dashboards to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
- Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available
- Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem
- Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter
- Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related
- Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data centre management and data governance
