Overview
You are responsible for general and overall management of sales and marketing department to ensure
that personnel and all other resources allocated to the department are enhanced and they are efficiently
and effectively utilized to generate revenue and realize profitability, growth in sales volume, market
segment and brand strength. Our Client is a leading bread and bakery production company based in Kenya, renowned for its high-quality, freshly baked products.

Responsibilities:
- You shall design, implement and enforce departmental policies and procedures
- You will take lead in development of monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecast
- You shall oversee recruitment of sufficient number of staff for the department, training and
management of team members who will assist in running the department - Conducted market research on market penetration strategies and setting up a distribution
network across the country - You shall be responsible for securing and maintaining in good working conditions company
resources, tools and assets - You shall plan and coordinate with the key partners on marketing activities and brand
management. - You shall organize sales team appreciations programs and develop and implement commission
structures for the sales team - You shall design appraisal program for the sales team, supervise performance and enforce
discipline amongst the team members - You shall initiate incentives and promotional program for the customer/market
- You shall oversee and attend to customer service, review reports and coordinate with other
Departmental Heads (Logistic, finance and Production) for fast and effective customer feedback. - You shall be responsible for debt management, prompt and timely debt collection in both GT
and Key accounts - You shall ensure accountability and safety for crates by tracking their movement, their hygiene
and their handling and ensure that the company do not lose any single crate - You will take lead in the development of key trade partners, Joint Business Plans and business
meetings. - You shall take lead in pricing strategy for all the company products
- You shall follow through with the logistics department to ensure that drivers and sales team
maintains a high standard of hygiene for both the vehicles and for their personal hygiene and
ensuring that they are in their right attire at all times. - You shall follow through with logistics department and ensure that vehicle for deliveries are
ready and on time for loading and shall depart from the factory on time, deliver to the client on
time and get back to the factory on time - Any other responsibility as it may be assigned by the GM/ Director from time to time.
KPIs.
- Staffing of the department and training of sufficient and strong work force as per
projection - Grow the sales volumes to above ksh 35million/month
- Ensure all debtors remain below an agreeable % of the total revenue
- Brand growth and market presence
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in either Sales, marketing , Business Administration or any related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Senior Sales management position preferably in Bread and bakery.
