Our client, in Mauritius is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and its subsidies. In this context, his main roles & responsibilities will be as follows:
- Managing the financial position and report potential variances with financial targets;
- Overseeing the realization of the monthly management accounts, yearly accounts, and the budget as per given deadlines;
- Analysing the financial results of the companies and report on the underlying reasons leading to potential variances;
- Working closely with the Quantity Surveyors and the purchasers to ensure proper alignment on costs and expenditure;
- Managing of the cashflow of the companies by realizing monthly cashflow forecasts, by anticipating potential cash shortfall positions and providing appropriate actions to ensure that the companies meet their cashflow requirements;
- Overseeing the management of existing bank facilities’ utilization and participating in the negotiation of new facilities;
- Managing and training of the Accounting department’s personnel;
- Proceeding with the realization of statutory reports and returns and advising on potential regulatory issues;
- Liaising with the tax and other statutory/regulatory authorities for potential queries/issues.
- Overseeing vendors payments and collection on accounts receivables.
- Developing and maintaining of the companies’ internal controls to ensure compliance and prevent theft and fraud;
- Driving the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices and the financial reporting system;
- Providing leadership, supervision, and guidance to the Finance Team to ensure excellence is constantly achieved;
- Planning of and managing of yearly audit(s) by fully assisting auditors to close yearly audits within agreed timelines;
Required skills & educational background:
- Leadership, problem solving, communication, analysis, Interpersonal skills, mathematical proficiency, attention to detail, ability to manage accurate information. Previous experience with an ERP is a must.
- ACCA fully qualified and/or holder of a Master in Finance;
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
