Our client in Harare is looking for a dynamic and organised Elution Adsorption Assistant to join their team for a job vacancy within the
Mining Sector.
The Elution Assistant will support the elution process by performing data capture, assisting with minimal project management, and
ensuring efficient operation of elution plants or CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems. This role involves working closely with laboratory and
production teams to maintain accurate records and support the overall efficiency of elution operations.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately record and input data related to the elution process into relevant databases and software systems.
- Maintain detailed logs of experiments, procedures, and outcomes.
- Compile and generate reports from collected data for analysis and review.
- Assist in the preparation and handling of elution buffers and solutions.
- Monitor and document the elution process, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of elution equipment.
- Support minimal project management tasks, including scheduling, tracking progress, and coordinating with team members.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with the laboratory and production teams to optimize workflows and improve process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Apply knowledge and experience with elution plants or CIP systems to enhance operational processes.
- Provide insights and suggestions for process improvements based on prior experience.
Requirements:
- Strong experience dealing with the Gold Elution Process
- Relevant tertiary level qualification
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of the elution process
