Our client in Zimbabwe is looking for a meticulous and mature Chemical Engineer Elution Manager (Reduction Officer) to join their team
for a job vacancy within the Mining Industry.
The Chemical Engineer Elution Manager is responsible for overseeing the elution process in both a laboratory and manufacturing setting. The manager is tasked with ensuring that the elution process is carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of the elution process.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- The elution manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the elution process
- Ensuring that elution process is conducted according to standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Ensuring the quality and purity of the eluted substances by implementing quality control measures and conducting regular checks throughout the process. Such as solution samples and carbon samples.
- Adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure that the elution process meets all necessary guidelines and specifications.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the requirements outlined by Gold mobilisation and EMA.
- Leading and managing a team of technicians and laboratory staff involved in the elution process, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Overseeing the maintenance and calibration of elution equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintaining accurate records of elution processes, results, and any deviations from expected outcomes. Generating reports as required by our board of directors.
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings within the elution process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience dealing directly with the reduction process with gold
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gold processing or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of elution process.
- Knowledge of carbon regeneration and reactivation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process control.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to lead a team
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to environmental protection
