The Accounts Officer will play a crucial role in overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s strategic financial goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team in the north of Mauritius.
Key Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
- Prepare tax filings, VAT returns, and other statutory requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial closings.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of proven accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Strong understanding of local tax laws and IFRS compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
