We are assisting one of our trusted clients in the search for an Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including ledgers, journal entries, and financial documents.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Month-End Closing: Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparation of trial balance and supporting documentation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax filings, including VAT and other relevant taxes.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Enter financial data accurately into the accounting system and assist with reporting financial performance.
- Support Audit: Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- General Accounting Support: Assist senior accountants with day-to-day accounting operations and handle ad-hoc accounting tasks.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):
- Exposure to tax filings and compliance.
- Experience with financial reporting and budget preparation.
- Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices.
