Job Description:
Our client is looking for a dedicated Accounts Officer to support their financial department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in financial reporting. This position is key in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and monthly management accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support the preparation of tax filings and ensure adherence to tax regulations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and tracking expenses against budgeted figures.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve any accounting discrepancies.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
