Job Summary:
To conduct tests and procedures that monitor and assess employee’s health, identify potential health risks and ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations. Administrative role includes day to day running of the clinic operations.
Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Conduct regular health screenings and assessments for employees, including audiometry, spirometry, vision testing, and other occupational health-related evaluations.
• Ensure that all medical and diagnostic equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly including daily, weekly and monthly equipment calibration.
• Accurately record and manage health data, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Educate employees on occupational health risks, preventive measures, and safe work practices.
• Conduct training sessions on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety protocols.
• Ensure the clinic operates in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Oversee the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring that all administrative and clinical activities run smoothly and efficiently.
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:
• Grade 12
• Certificate: Nurse: General Nursing
• Registered with SANC as Auxiliary Nurse (Essential)
• Short courses in audiometry, spirometry and vision screening (Essential)
• Enrolled Nursing Certificate (Advantage: Staff Nurse)
• 2 – 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Technician in post enrolment nursing experience. Practical working knowledge of nursing.
Skills and knowledge:
• Relevant medical equipment with technical proficiency in using the equipment
• Relevant legislation e.g. OHS Act, Nursing Act etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Delivering results and meeting customer expectations

• Writing and Reporting
