Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial reporting to the Board of Directors and assume responsibility for financial statements and risk management.
• Monitor financial policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines.
• Responsible for developing a financial strategy aligned to the company strategy, that stipulates:
• Foreign currency management; Treasury/Cash management activities;
• Timely production of consolidated financial reports and accounts; and Compliance with IFRS and all statutory regulations.
• Design and is custodian of the Schedule of Delegated Authority (SODA).
• Oversee Trading Terms from a financial-risk perspective and monitor debt and its impact on the business.

Requirements

• Preference for candidates with more than 10 years of experience in senior roles relevant to the Company.
• Attention will be given to those with industry experience relevant to the FMCG, retail and distribution sectors.
• A strong preference for candidates with operating experience in Mozambique.
• Candidates require a minimum qualification as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
• Candidates are preferably fluent in Portuguese and English
• Having implemented large Information packages (ERP) is an advantage.
