Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement strategies, optimize supplier relationships, and enhance inventory systems. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency and ensure seamless supply chain operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing

  • Oversee all aspects of the purchasing department in conjunction with the General Manager
  • Receive all orders from camp and the office
  • Liaise with General Manager to prioritize items
  • Implement and maintain purchasing systems to include requisition, orders and goods received
  • Liaise with Concession Manager and General Camp Managers to ensure purchasing systems are understood and implemented at all camps
  • Ensure that all orders are completed well on time and feedback given to camps
  • Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers to ensure best quality and price of goods
  • Source new suppliers to ensure competitive prices at all times
  • Ensure that all invoices have been processed to suppliers
  • Ensure all purchasing admin up to date at all times and filed properly

Purchasing Logistics Responsibility

  • Liaise with Camp Managers on weekly freight runs to minimize  truck space wastage into the concessions
  • Ensure all truck runs are done on time and best operator used
  • Apply for all rebates, permits and imports, ensuring they handled on time, ensure updates and feedback communicated to General Manager daily
  • Ensure our importers know the export / import requirements for Zimbabwe
  • Ensure all duties are correctly priced with the correct tariffs charged
  • Ensure all payments handed in to accounts in good time to plan for these expenses

Operational Purchasing Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and order all uniform for staff in all departments
  • Assist Operations Manager with curio orders when needed
  • Ensure sufficient stock of pillow gifts, water bottles, pens and sub sticks in camps at all times
  • Ensure sufficient stock of all camp branded stationary at all times
  • Ensure all camp décor items received sent to camp as soon as possible with correct communication on the location of these items by liaising with Operations Manager
  • Assist with operational orders including linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware in conjunction with the General Manager, Operations Manager, and General Camp Manager
  • Build and develop a central store that holds the necessary spares and stocks for all camps

Administrational Responsibilities

  • Draw up a schedule of all licensing required for Zim operations and ensure the Operations Manager and General Manager are up to date with any regulation changes
  • Draw up a schedule for all licensing and permit renewals needed
  • Ensure all licensing and permits for operational use up to date at all times including boats, vehicles, trailers, airstrips

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 Years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role
  • Logistics Experience.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Participating in the sharing of ideas to improve upon offerings would be valuable
