Our client in Harare is looking for a Production Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the food manufacturing industry.

 

  • Experience
  • At least 15 years’ experience in the baking industry
  • Experience in FMCG is a requirement

 

Education

A degree in Food Science/Production Management/relevant qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Planning & Execution: Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and ensure timely delivery of baked goods.

Optimize production processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Monitor production output and adjust schedules as needed.

  1. Quality Control: Ensure consistent quality of products by adhering to recipes and standards.

Inspect baked goods for quality and appearance.

Implement and maintain quality control procedures.

  1. Staff Management: Supervise and train bakery staff, including bakers, decorators, and other production personnel.

Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities.

Evaluate performance and provide feedback.

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

  1. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials.

Order supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery.

Implement and maintain inventory control systems.

  1. Safety & Sanitation: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Implement and enforce safety procedures.

  1. Cost Control: Monitor production costs and identify areas for improvement.

Implement cost-saving measures.
