PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Complete control of Engineering.
Reporting and management of all sustainability issues
This position is key to ensuring the availability of plant and equipment, maintaining equipment to OEM specifications and ensuring compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to world-class standards through detailed maintenance schedules, predictive maintenance techniques, effective root cause analysis and thorough lubrication schedules
- Ensure maximum efficiency of utility equipment (Air compressors, boilers, etc.)
- Ensure that the Loss Prevention Management system is correctly implemented within the engineering department driving the safety culture of the business.
- Identify the Capital Investment Projects required to deliver the Engineering Department Budget & Long- Term Plan.
- Managing a disciplined Engineering Department and enforcing discipline by following the company’s disciplinary policy and code of conduct.
- Legal compliance of pressure vessels, electrical installation, lifting equipment and rotating machinery (GMR 2.1)
- Effectively manage Engineering Spares stock levels to ensure availability of critical spares in a cost effective manner
- Set up a performance review system in keeping with the Group Performance Enhancement Policy
- Build, develop and maintain an effective team
- Apply WCM PM Methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of Engineering Reliability in line with the annual budget.
- Manage the Engineering & maintenance costs under your approval cap in line with the annual budget.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- GCC Factories
- 8-10 Years’ experience in Engineering
- 5 Year’s experience in a managerial role
- Excel high in proficiency
